About the Team

The GCKD study is conducted by a cooperative network of nephrology clinics in Germany in collaboration with the Institutes of Genetics, Epidemiology and Statistics, Functional Genomics and Genetic Epidemiology at the Universities of Innsbruck, Erlangen-Nuremberg and Regensburg.

The study center is located at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

Nine regional centers in Aachen, Berlin, Erlangen, Freiburg, Hannover, Heidelberg, Jena, Munich and Würzburg coordinate the recruitment and follow-up of patients in collaboration with practicing nephrologists in the region.
